CELEBRATE COMMUNITY: Destin Snowbirds donate quilts to CIC

DESTIN — The Destin Snowbird Quilters recently presented hand-made quilts to each child living at the Children In Crisis Neighborhood.

“The donation will make a huge difference in the lives of our children,” said Ken Hair, the CIC’s president and CEO. ”Support from the Destin Snowbirds is vital to our very worthy mission.”

Children in Crisis is a charity of caring people whoe passionate about helping with the severe shortage of foster homes in our community.

The CIC Neighborhood provides an emergency shelter for children who are removed from an unsafe environment on short notice and homes to help with the foster home shortage.

Since opening, more than 950 children have been given a home, food, clothing, and love, according to a press release from CIC. Additionally, all brother and sister sibling groups have been kept together.
