Three arrested and more than a pound of meth seized in DeFuniak Springs drug bust

DeFUNIAK SPRINGS — Three people were arrested and more than a pound of methamphetamine was taken off the street following a multi-agency narcotics investigation, according to a Walton County Sheriff's Office news release.

A joint investigation by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the DeFuniak Springs Police Department resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, heroin and prescription pills at an Oakridge Road home in DeFuniak Springs on Feb. 17.

During the search, almost 500 grams of methamphetamine was discovered along with oxycodone, suspected fentanyl pills, heroin and the powerful painkiller Dilaudid, according to the release. Investigators also found $400 in cash.

John Phillip Blizzard

John Phillip Blizzard, 54, is charged with trafficking methamphetamine and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $50,000.

Stacie Gwyn Sanders

Stacie Gwyn Sanders, 40, is charged with possession of methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $5,000.

Christopher Alan Lewis

Christopher Alan Lewis, 36, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and introduction of contraband into a correctional facility. The second charge stems from deputies locating a bag of methamphetamine on him while booking him into the Walton County Jail, the release said. His bond is $10,000 bond.

All three remained in jail as of late Thursday afternoon.
