It was all red, white and blue on parade in the annual Bike Parade event in Destin

All decked out in red, white and blue, more than 30 youths participated in the annual Family Independence Bike Parade just prior to the Fourth of July.
They came in strollers and wagons and on scooters and bicycles sporting their stars and stripes with streamers flying as they paraded around the track behind Destin Elementary School off Kelly Street on July 1.
This is an annual event the city of Destin conducts for the families and children.
In addition to the 33 participants in the parade, about 100 more friends and family came along to watch and cheer on their favorites.
There were hot dogs, cotton candy and snow cones for all.
Also set up for the celebration was a corn hole game and bounce inflatable for the younger kids.
Winners in the parade were:
Best Overall — Shepard Anderson
First-place bike — Avenue Eckert
Second-place bike — Callie Pruett
First-place wagon — Shepard Anderson.
First-place stroller — Lottie Reed.
