Sheriff's Office planning DUI checkpoint in Destin

Planning a Saturday night visit to Destin?

Expect congestion and short traffic delays as the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office and city of Destin are conducting a driving under the influence checkpoint.

The checks are from 9-11 p.m. July 30 on Legion Drive.

OCSO and the city apologize for the inconvenience, but say the checkpoints are crucial in deterring and apprehending impaired drivers.
