One dead, one in custody following domestic violence stabbing in Shalimar

SHALIMAR — One person was killed and another is in custody following a domestic violence-related stabbing at a home in Shalimar, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office news release.

OSCO deputies, the Shalimar Police Department and other first responders went to a home on Mande Court about 2 p.m. Friday.

One person was killed and another was arrested following a reported domestic violence incident in Shalimar on May 14, 2021.

OCSO investigators said a neighbor confronted the suspect after the man came out of his home and into the garage, where he allegedly dropped a knife. Arriving deputies quickly took the suspect into custody.

At this time, neither the circumstances of the stabbing nor the identities of those involved have been released.
