United Way’s coat drive

It’s that time of the year for the United Way of Okaloosa-Walton Counties and their partners A & A Transfer & Storage, The French Laundry and Destin Cleaners to collect coats for the Annual Coat Drive … Coats for Kids at Christmas. Last year we were able to distribute over 2,200 coats to many families throughout the community and schools in Okaloosa and Walton counties made possible by the local banks, businesses and people who supported this project.

Anyone that would like to participate in this wonderful event may do so by dropping off new coats or gently used coats beginning the first part of October thru Dec. 1 at the following locations:

Volunteers will pick-up and deliver coats to Bangkok Cleaners, The French Laundry or Destin Cleaners for cleaning. Participating United Way Agencies will distribute the coats to any child at no cost to the family.

Please note: Although we appreciate all donations, we can only accept coats and no other used clothing. Please distribute your other used clothing at Salvation Army, Harvest House, Waterfront Mission, etc.
