Chamber to kick off yearlong 50th Anniversary Celebration

Founded in 1966 by Destin visionaries, the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce will kick off a yearlong 50th Anniversary Celebration at its Jan. 15 Annual Awards & Installation Banquet.

Highlights of the event include a new logo reveal, recognition of businesses who have been members since the very beginning, and 2016 board installation. The Chamber will also present its prestigious annual awards, including the Business Person of the Year Award, the James D. Neilson, Sr., Chairman’s Award for Volunteer Service, the Paul Woolman Ambassador of the Year Award, and the Ann Gibson Community Service Award.

The event, themed Celebrating 50 Years Strong, will take place at Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village, beginning at 6 p.m.
