Fifth Annual Snowbird Day returns

The City of DeFuniak Springs welcomes all snowbirds and seniors to the Fifth Annual Snowbird Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at the Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood, 96 Circle Drive in DeFuniak Springs. This year’s event includes food, fun and fancy footwork as music will be provided for dancing by the lake.
This annual event has become a tradition among many of our northern visitors as well as seniors who have located permanently in the north Walton County area.
Again this year, Ms. Ellen Mayfield will prepare and serve a scrumptious luncheon menu along with her incredible desserts. A new feature this year will be a special bingo session where prizes will be awarded to all the winners.
Walking tours of the Lakeyard and Circle Drive will be available and guided tours for those choosing to drive will be available. We encourage all our visitors to experience the variety of quaint shops along Baldwin Avenue adjacent to the Lakeyard where the merchants will be thrilled to greet you.
As always, this event is provided free of charge and all snowbirds and seniors are encouraged to come out and enjoy a time of fellowship in historic DeFuniak Springs. Bring a carload.
