Destin Commons made a $10,000 donation to Sinfonia Gulf Coast through the Center’s Coins For A Cause program.

Sinfonia Gulf Coast is the region’s fully professional symphony orchestra, presenting high caliber events and concerts in Northwest Florida. The donation will benefit Sinfonia and its music education initiatives throughout the community including free concerts for kids, musicians in the schools, Sinfonia Youth Orchestra, LINK UP in partnership with Carnegie Hall, Paint the Music, and Arts in Medicine with Sacred Heart Hospital.

Coins For A Cause was created to benefit local charities with the monies collected from Destin Commons' parking meters. Shoppers can enjoy the convenience of parking in front of the stores, while local charities enjoy the benefit of donations made to their respective causes related to issues such as health, disabilities, education, the arts and children’s well-being. Coins For A Cause has donated more than $1 million to area charities since its inception in 2003.
