The Emerald Coast Foundation selected Children in Crisis again this year to be one of the benefiting charities of the ECF Boat Week and Poker Run and donated a check for $35,000. The funds raised by the event help feed, clothe and care for the at-risk children living at the CIC Neighborhood.

The donation to CIC and the other participating charities was presented at a check presentation held at the Okaloosa Island Ramada this week. The selection of CIC for funding clearly shows their continued commitment of support to the children of our community.

"The support by the Emerald Coast Foundation really makes a difference in the lives of our at-risk children at CIC," said CIC president/CEO Ken Hair. "2016 has been a tough year for finding the necessary funds to provide a home to our children at the CIC Neighborhood and their support will help us stay open and operating."
