The Arc of the Emerald Coast received $35,000 from the Emerald Coast Foundation as one of the four non-profits benefiting from “The Big One” Poker Run, the Emerald Coast Foundation's signature event that is held each August during Boat Week.

“We count on these funds each year and are honored to be one of the four charities supported by the poker run,” said Tashik.

Also receiving checks that evening were Children In Crisis, Eleanor Johnson Youth Center and the All Sports Association.

The Emerald Coast Foundation will celebrate its 25th year of supporting local children’s charities in 2017 and is planning to “take it up a notch” to mark the occasion, said Foundation President LA Woodall.

The Arc of the Emerald Coast is a 501 C non-profit serving individuals in Okaloosa, Walton and Santa Rosa counties with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as down syndrome, cerebral palsy and autism.
