Marler joins Sound of the South at Troy

Brianna Marler of Destin became a member of the prestigious Sound of the South Marching Band at Troy University during the Fall 2016 semester.

The band is a precision collegiate ensemble that has developed a national reputation for its quality musicianship and its exciting arrangements and innovative field productions. The Sound of the South is the largest student organization on campus boasting numbers of more than 300 students each semester.

The band entertains audiences regularly at home games and those away, as well as making guest appearances in exhibition at local and out-of-state marching band competitions.

2017 Eglin Spouses’ Club scholarship applications

Each year the Eglin Spouses’ Club awards college scholarships to military dependents who are either high school graduating seniors or spouses. The deadline to apply is March 10, 2017, and the applications can be found online at the Eglin Spouses’ Club Facebook page or the Eglin Thrift Shop website.
