American Legion Post 296 in Destin traveled to The Clifford Sims State Veterans Home in Panama City to provide the first donation of several to come from the proceeds of The Kevin Black Concert held on President's Day at the American Legion Post 296.

Officers Ray Bourque and Gary Harris presented Ginny O'Hare, activities director, and Jennifer Reyes, administrator, a check.

The American Legion Post 296 has many fundraisers to provide veterans with donations for activities.

“All gave some; some gave all.” The Post tries to give back to the heroes that make us free.

“Kevin Black is a great patriot who gave his travel and time to provide this concert to assist veterans in our area. He is a true patriot,” said Dan Woods, past commander of the American Legion Post 296.
