The Emerald Coast Foundation selected Children in Crisis again this year to be one of the benefiting charities of the ECF Boat Week and Poker Run. The donation to CIC and the other participating charities took place at a check presentation held at the Okaloosa Island Ramada this month. The selection of CIC for funding shows their continued commitment of support to the children of our community. Ken Hair (center), president and CEO of Children in Crisis, along with CIC board members, staff and volunteers, receives a check for $30,000 from the Emerald Coast Foundation, Boat Week and Poker Run Board member Jackie Blue of the Ramada. The funds will be used to help feed, clothe and care for the children living at the CIC Neighborhood.
