Destin man charged with shooting semi-automatic rifle into neighboring home
DESTIN — Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office deputies have arrested a man who allegedly fired a semi-automatic rifle out his bedroom window into a neighboring home Monday morning.
Around 9:16 a.m., the OCSO responded to the incident at a residence in the 700 block of Whippoorwill Lane. Orlando Burleigh, 51, into custody on charges of shooting into an unoccupied dwelling and discharging a firearm in public or on residential property.

In an interview with deputies, Burleigh reportedly admitted to "arming himself and shooting three rounds at a subject he believed to have fired at him."
No injuries were reported.
Okaloosa County Jail records indicated Burleigh remained in custody Monday awaiting his initial hearing.
