LETTER: Thanks for promoting punctuation!

In the Sept. 21-24 edition of The Destin Log, Mary Ready’s article “A punctilious punctuator’s pet peeves and peccadilloes” was timely for our Writers In Sandals group ,which met Sept. 21 at the Destin Library.

Our discussion for that meeting was on proofreading, editing and critiquing. At every meeting, our topics help build an arsenal of information for improving our writing skills.

Mary Ready hit on many important grammar, punctuation, spelling and abbreviations so often misused and too often abused. Our thanks go to Mary Ready for keeping the torch burning and for promoting National Punctuation Day.
