LETTER: A clear solution for Crab Island

The solution to the Crab Island debate is clear to me. There is no need for city jurisdiction. No need for give and take. Leave the jurisdiction in the hands of the state. Have the DEP erect no anchor zone signage. Let the Coast Guard and FWC enforce it. Zero additional cost to Destin taxpayers. Allow Mother Nature take its course. Let the party relocate elsewhere. It would become one of the best fishing flats in the area. After all it is Destin – Worlds Luckiest Fishing Village. Not Destin – Worlds Luckiest Party Village.
