Falcons take bite out of Gator Bait

Ben Vega and Ben Colon combined for 36 points to lead the Falcons in a 65-38 win over Gator Bait in the 17-plus Adult Basketball League at the Destin Community Center.

Vega made two 3-pointers and six twos for 18 points, while Colon tossed in nine twos for 18. The Falcons led 33-19 at the half.

Jimmy Herold hit two 3s on his way to 14 points for the Falcons.

Thomas O’Drain was leading scorer for Gator Bait with 14 points. Rece Drake hit one 3-pointer and had 10 points, and Donald Kirkwood chipped in five points.

The Bulls were sitting on a 17-point lead at the half.

Jason Sanders was top gun for the Bulls with 23 points, including one 3-pointer. Damen Maddox scored 16 points, and Nelson Sanders hit two 3-pointers en route to 10 points.

Alonzo Travis was high-point player for About You with one 3-pointer and 21 points. Chris Reynolds knocked down three 3s on his way to 15 points, and Tybell Hatten contributed eight points.

Snake Eaters led 27-15 at the half.

Brian Quarles led the Snake attack with 16 points. Jonathan Gage and Niven Williams each scored 11 points.

Clinton Leopold and Corey Chaplin each sank two 3-pointers on their way to 10 points for Old Bay. Mike Ingram chipped in eight points.
