Pike’s Painting whips Prime Lending


Carlos Izquidezo pounded out five hits to lead Pike’s Painting in a 17-12 win over Prime Lending in the Men’s Competitive Softball League at Morgan’s Sports Center in Destin.

Izquidezo slapped three home runs, a double and a single for six RBIs.

After trailing 8-3, Pike’s came back with four in the third and fourth innings and then five in the sixth.

Travis Holcomb clobbered two home runs and two singles for three RBIs for Pike’s. Ace Crank cranked out one home run and two singles for an RBI. James Griffes doubled and hit three singles for four RBIs for Prime Lending. Joel Boxberger tripled and hit two singles, and James Jetton doubled for an RBI.

•Pike’s Painting 16, Doc’s Softball Softies 14 Pike’s led 5-4 at the end of four innings and then finished strong with seven runs in the seventh.

Mike Manthey hit three singles for Pike’s. Justin Chaknis homered and doubled for three RBIs, and Carlos Izquidezo ripped a home run and a single for two RBIs. Travis Holcomb hit a home run.

Kevin Bush belted two home runs, a double and a single for five RBIs for Doc’s. Skeeter Johnson connected for a home run and three singles for three RBIs, and Jeff Milam hit a home run.

•Doc’s Softball Softies 24, EOD 17 Doc’s scored 18 runs in the last three innings for the win. Joe Agostinelli connected for five singles for two RBIs for Doc’s. Skeeter Johnson smacked two home runs and two singles for two RBIs. Jesse Hernandez blasted two home runs and Kevin Bush hit one. Matt Wilt hit two home runs for EOD.
