Florida Septic flushes Lucky's Rotten Apple


Chris Edmondson knocked in four runs to lead Florida Septic and Sewer in a 28-16 win over Lucky's Rotten Apple in the championship game of the Coed Division III Softball League tournament at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Edmondson hit the cycle with a homer, triple, two doubles and a single.

Florida Septic started strong scoring the 10-run limit in the first inning. By the end of three innings, Florida Septic was sitting on a 20-7 lead.

Brandon Crumbley slapped a home run, triple, double and two singles for three RBIs for Florida Septic. Angie Coteat doubled and hit two singles for four RBIs. Davey Bazylak ripped a home run.

Richard Lawson was tops for Rotten Apple with three singles for three RBIs. Natalie Crumbley hit two singles for an RBI, and David Meadows connected for two singles for two RBIs. Stephen Mayo clobbered a home run.

At the end of first inning, Wing Stop led by one run. However that was the last time they would see the advantage. Florida Septic went on to score two runs in the second, third, fifth, and sixth innings, then three in the seventh for the win.

Brandon Crumbley slapped a home run and three singles for two RBIs for Florida Septic. Davey Bazylak blasted two home runs and a single for three RBIs, and Angie Coteat connected for two singles.

Devin Taylor ripped two doubles and a single for an RBI for Wing Stop. Ortie Messenger hit three singles, and Tracey Stanley two singles.

Lucky's Rotten Apple 33, Dockside Bar 17

The game was knotted at 3-3 at the end of one inning.

Rotten Apple unloaded on the ball the next three innings, scoring the 10-run limit in each inning to put the game away in five innings.

David Meadows knocked in 11 runs for Rotten Apple on two grand slams and two singles. Stephens Hopkins belted two triples, a double and two singles for seven RBIs, and Steffani Saddler doubled and hit two singles.

Matt Mashek hit three singles for two RBIS for Dockside. Amanda Bonne connected for two singles for an RBI, and Rob Taylor slapped a home run and a double for three RBIs. Travis Carroll hit a home run.
