Ronald McDonald House annual Firecracker 5K set for July 6

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida is accepting registrations for their annual Firecracker 5K Run, Walk and Wheelchair Race.

The event, presented by Honest Tea, will be held at 7:30 a.m., July 6 near Seville Quarter in downtown Pensacola.  Even the tiniest athletes are invited to join in the Coca Cola Free Fun Run after the 5K.

Registration is $27 in advance or $32 at packet pick up or on race day.  Late Registration, packet pick-up and race expo will be held from noon until 7 p.m. on July 5 at Running Wild and from 6 to 7 a.m. on July 6 at Seville Quarter.

The first 1,000 to register will receive a T-shirt.  Tote bags will go to the first 500 registrants.  Participants are encouraged to celebrate the patriotic occasion by wearing red, white and blue. For those who want to Rock our Socks, red and white striped socks are available for $7. Vendor booths and sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Ronald McDonald will mingle with the crowd at the after-race party, which will include free refreshments, music and race awards. Register online for no additional fees at www.werunwild.com or download an entry form under the News and Events tab at www.rmhc-nwfl.org.
