Seahawks knock off St. Joe Sharks

After jumping out to a 15 point lead in the first half, the South Walton Seahawks never looked back taking down the St. Joe Sharks 65-49 in boy’s varsity basketball action.

"We led the whole way. I'm proud, proud, proud of this team," said South Walton Coach John Davies after Friday's game.

Senior Wyatt Kemper led the Seahawks with 24 points. Also hitting double digits were Paxton Dixon with 18 and John Woolf, 10.

"What I told them in the locker room is that I’ve never had a team grow as a team as the season goes on, like this team has," Davies said.

"Tonight was a very complete game, offensively and defensively. I was very proud of them," he reiterated.

In the third quarter, St. Joe outscored South Walton by four points, but the Seahawks stayed on top 50-39.

Then in the fourth, the South Walton put the game away with 15 points.

Up next for the Seahawks is a 7 p.m. game Thursday at Bozeman against the Bucks.
