The home team came up short in the Destin Rockets Lacrosse Tournament held at Morgan Sports Center Saturday.

The U-13 Destin Rockets lost 4-3 to Pensacola and 6-3 to Gulf Breeze.

In the game against Pensacola, Destin scored first with Sailor Anderson launching a quick goal. Pensacola scored, then Destin's Tyler Kersanac received a pass from Owen Hoover to take back the lead.

Pensacola fired back twice to go up 3-2. Destin's Jackson Schoener continued to block several strong attempts with help from Joey Albert and Rhett Robinson. Pensacola led 3-2 at the half.

In the second half, Destin's Mitchell Holt rocked one in to tie the game. In the final minutes, Pensacola put one in the net for the win.

Against Gulf Breeze, Destin trailed at the half 4-1 with Lukas Gauch scoring on an assist from Finn Burch.

In the second half, Destin's Christian Schermerhorn and J.D. Tebbetts each scored a goal. The Destin Rockets went down 6-3.
