Elite executes win

Ken Bowers tossed in 25 points to lead Elite in a 61-50 win over Boone in the 30-plus Adult Basketball League at the Destin Community Center.

Bowers hit two 3-pointers, four twos and 11 from the free-throw line.

The first half of play was close with Elite on top by one point.

Jason Sanders scored 17 points for Elite, while Jared Ogonor contributed 10 points.

Harry Madison nailed five 3s to lead Boone with 21 points. Michael Bethea and Brett Stuart each hit two 3s on their way to eight points.

Showtime led by eight points at the half.

Greg Watson was the go-to guy for Showtime with five 3s en route to 27 points. Thomas Grant hit one trey on his way to 10 pionts, and Erik Fordyce made two 3s en route to nine points.

Richard Rogers drilled five 3s on his way to 16 points for Fudpucker's. Geoff Brower scored nine points and Cliff Covington contributed seven points, including two 3s.

At the half, CRI led 27-24.

Zach Cobble was tops for CRI with three 3s en route to 15 points. Brad Cobble scored 13 points, and Matt Maskiewicz hit for 12 points.

Carlos Bell hit one 3-pointer en route to 19 points for Sandestin. Jason Little sank one trey on his way to 11 points, and Jeff Scaife chipped in seven points.
