Our local Destin Riptide Baseball Teams, based out of The Scott Hemond School of Baseball in Destin, recently partnered with Robby Shell and Tim Lunsford of USSSA to help host an Autism Benefit Tournament in Destin.

The teams were able to raise $600 for Autism Awareness and presented the check to the Autism Society of the Emerald Coast Monday night.  The Riptide Teams all attend the Scott Hemond School of Baseball and are made up of more than 95 percent of local Emerald Coast players.

Pictured are Brad Burnett of the Autism Society, Coaches Brennan Coe, Kyle Crandall, Scott Hemond, Mike Clements and players from each age group.  Presenting the check to Burnett are General Manager Michael Kinkopf and the inspiration for putting on this tournament, Kaleb Kinkopf.
