Hub City cracks Emerald Coast Chiropractic

Dustin Hanssen connected for three hits to lead Hub City Smokehouse and Grill in a 24-23 win over Emerald Coast Chiropractic in the Coed Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Hanssen slapped a home run, a double and a single for two RBIs.

Hub City started strong with 10 runs in the first inning, fell behind 19-17 in the fourth, but pulled it out in the end for the win.

Ron Norville tripled and hit two singles for three RBIs for Hub, and Nikki Stewart hit two singles for two RBIs.

John Corlew and Ken Gallander each doubled and hit two singles for four RBIs for Chiropractic. Teresa Imdieke hit two doubles and a single for three RBIs.

• Local Yocals 21, Emerald Coast Alarms 1

Local Yocals dominated, taking a 14-0 lead in the first three innings.

Casey Chance hit the cycle with a homer, triple, double and a single for three RBIs for Local Yocals. Devin Taylor tripled, hit two doubles and a single for three RBIs, and Krystin Mills connected for two triples and a double for five RBIs.

Nicholas Reimer, Mendy McIver and Pam Cooper each hit a single for EC Alarms.

• Bodywork and Massage by JAM 18, Ironclad Crossfit 6

JAM led 11-0 at the end of two innings. JAM put the game away in five.

Eric Carey doubled and hit two singles for four RBIs for JAM. Bobby Turner tripled and singled for three RBIs, and Gavin Jones hit two singles for two RBIs.

Jeremy Maines hit three singles for two RBIs for Crossfit. Riley McIvoy tripled and singled for an RBI, and Ann Marie Moshas hit two singles.

• Blue Marlin Realty 24, Trustmark Bank 12

At the end of three innings, Blue Marlin was on top 13-2.

Micah Priest doubled and hit three singles for six RBIs for Blue Marlin. Drew Fusco ripped a home run and two singles for  four RBIs, and Jaymeson Foerster belted a home run, double and a single for three RBIs.

Michael Haynes tripled and doubled for two RBIs for Trustmark. Becky Eiler doubled and singled for three RBIs, and Kristin Goergen doubled and singled for an RBI. Ryan Grindstaff smacked a three-run homer in the fifth.

• Beauties and Beasts 23, Clemenza's 22

The Beasts jumped out to a 16-3 lead in the first two innings. Clemenza battled back with two big turns at bat, nine runs in the fifth and six in the seventh.

Carlos Izquerido hit two homers, a double and a single for five RBIs for Beasts. Josh Snyder homered, tripled and singled for two RBIs, and Abbie Izquerido hit two singles.

Travis Reynolds was the big stick for Clemenza's with a triple, double and two singles for three RBIs. Matt Campbell slapped a home run, a double and a single for an RBI, and Damen Reynolds tripled, doubled and singled.

• 10 Ring Tactical 14, Beauties and Beasts 10

At the end of five innings the game was tied at 10-10. Tactical pulled away with two runs in the sixth and seventh innings.

Chris Edmonsond knocked in five RBIs for Tactical on three doubles. Shawn Sheppard hit two doubles and a single for two RBIs, and Todd Schragg tripled, doubled and singled.

Joshua Snyder hit three doubles and a single for an RBI for Beasts. Jonathan Pfau ripped a home run, double and a single for an RBI. Shannon Vandenheuval doubled and hit two singles.
