Destin Dolphin Peewees pound Bulldogs

A Destin Peewee Dolphin breaks away for some yardage in Saturday's game against for Crestview.

The Destin Dolphin Peewees broke in their new scoreboard with a 27-7 win over the visiting Crestview Bulldogs in the Panhandle Youth Football League.

The Dolphins showed the depth they have in their backfield with quarterback Harrison Orr scoring two touchdowns, one extra point conversion and had a total of 162-yards rushing.

Running back Chadrick Price had a 12-yard run up the middle which resulted in a touchdown and one extra point conversion. Wide receiver Carter Macilwain had an 18-yard reception and broke for a touchdown and he scored an extra point conversion. Maddox Hayles had two explosive carries which gained the Dolphins a total of 70 yards.

The Destin defense held the Bulldogs to one touchdown and only allowed three first downs the entire game. Defensive end Will Blanchard kept pressure in the back field with a forced fumble and recovery by Macilwain.

"This was a great way to win our first home game," Destin Coaches Chad Price and Ryan Orr agreed. The Dolphins move to 2-0 on the season.

Team captains for the day were Macilwain, Brody Plasier, Brandon Harnish, and Joseph Fullerton.


The Destin Junior Dophins whipped the Crestview Bulldogs 19-7.

Destin showcased their speed with Blake Orr rushing for two touchdowns, and Luke Edelman one.
