Destin Dolphin Peewees shut out South Walton

Destin's Jacob Castle breaks away for some tough yardage against the South Walton Seahawks.

After losing two of their starters early, the Destin Peewee Dolphins rallied together Saturday for a 12-0 win over the visiting South Walton Seahawks in the Panhandle Youth Football League.

Destin's Zachary Thomas showed why he earned the nickname "Freight Train" after an impressive 52-yard touchdown, breaking multiple tackles. Thomas had 112 rushing yards for the game.

Jacob Castle scored a 25 yard touchdown up the middle showing his ability as a power back. Running back Chadrick Price had a total of 80 rushing yards, gaining the Dolphins several first downs.

The defense played aggressive with back field tackles from Will Blanchard and Hunter Barber.

"A win on Saturday is always nice but I'm most impressed with our players coming together as a team and showing there leadership as one," Destin Coach Chad Price said.

For the game, Destin team captains were Chadrick Price, Colton Tankersly, Braxton Beard and Price Bowen.
