Youth free throw competition Jan. 17

All boys and girls ages 9-14 are invited to participate from 2-4 p.m. on Jan. 17 in a youth free throw basketball compeitition at the Destin Community Center and sponsored by the Emerald Coast Knights of Columbus Council 11893.

Registration will be held from 1:30-2 p.m. Hotdogs and drinks will be provided to all participants.

Awards will be given to the top three winners in each age group in this free event.

The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is sponsored annually, with winners progressing through local (Destin), district (Niceville), regional (Pensacola), and state (Orlando) competitions. Last year more than 223,000 sharpshooters participated in over 3,200 local competitions.

Participants are required to furnish written parental consents (forms available during sign-in).  Winners progressing to district and higher competitions are required to provide proof of age. For entry forms or additional information contact Tim Kersanac 850-598-5655.
