Lady Seahawks turn out the lights on the Knights

It was total domination by the South Walton Seahawks with nine players putting points on the board for a 55-10 win over the Rocky Bayou Christian Knight in girls varsity basketball action in Niceville Thursday night.
Senior Savanah Hiers led the effort for South Walton with 10 points. Sophomore Hayley Seible tossed in three 3s in the last half for nine points and Ashlyn Sachenbacher, a senior, made eight points. Scoring six each were Gracie Ricci and Alle Coble.
The Seahawks started strong outscoring Rocky 18-4 in the first quarter.

In the second, South Walton blanked the Knights 15-0 for a 33-4 lead at the half. Contributing for South Walton were Francette Warren, Sachenbacher, Hiers, Sarah Wright and Courtney Chesser.
In the third quarter, the Seahawks hit a couple of layups before Rocky got a shot to fall. Hiers came back with a 3-pointer and then Rocky tossed in two more points. Coble scored a basket and then Warren made the first of two free throws to start a running clock on the game (35 point advantage). South Walton’s Ricci hit a layup, and Seible drained a couple of 3s. Rocky scored one last time for a 51-10 game at the end of three.
In the fourth, Seible knocked down a 3-pointer and Chesser made a free throw for a 55-10 finish.
Up next for the Seahawks is a 7 p.m. game Tuesday at Bozeman. The Seahawks will host the Freeport Bulldogs at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
