The Destin Dolphin Juniors posted a 12-6 win over the Lynn Haven Storm this past weekend in the Panhandle Youth Football Jamboree in Niceville.

The Storm scored first and looked to have the game in hand, until Destin rallied in the last two minutes scoring two touchdowns.

Dillion Matekovich scored on a 35-yard run for the first Destin score, then Harrison Orr scored the winning touchdown on a 20-yard run as time ran out.

“It was a good performance,” said Destin Dolphin Coach Chad Price. “I’m so proud of our team.”

The Dophins play at home this Saturday in their first regular season game against Crestview.

The Tiny Mites play at 9 a.m., followed by the Peewees at 10 a.m. The Juniors play at 11:30 a.m. and the Seniors at 1:30 p.m

All games will be played on the field at Destin Elementary.
