Youth Spring Soccer

Registration began Jan. 4 and will go through March 11 for the Youth Spring Soccer.

Youth soccer is for ages 3-15 as of Aug. 1, 2015.

Fee is $25 for residents and $40 for non-residents. Registration can be completed online at www.cityofdestin.com or in person at the Destin Community Center 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Space is limited so early registration is recommended.

All games are played on Friday nights at Morgan Sports Center.

Bayou, Bay and Beach run events

Destin’s 6th annual Bayou, Bay and Beach 5K Run/Walk, 10K and Half Marathon sponsored by Shoreline Church is set for Jan. 23, 2016.

The 10K and Half Marathon courses are USA Track and Field-certified. While all courses are set alongside Destin waterways, the half marathon course yields breathtaking views of Choctawhatchee Bay, Destin harbor and East Pass, as it leads you through Destin, along a 4-mile undeveloped stretch of Okaloosa Island and back.

This year’s theme is Beach Bums. Wear your floral shirts, floppy hats, board shorts, bikinis, floaters, sunglasses … whatever says beach vacation to you.

Pickleball at Community Center

Pickleball at the Destin Community Center every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Fees are $2 for Destin residents and $3 for nonresidents. Racquets and balls are available, just bring gym shoes. Lessons are provided each Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Men’s Recreation Softball

Destin’s Men’s Recreation Softball League will begin play Feb. 23.

A mandatory team captains’ meeting will be held at 6 p.m., Jan. 26 at city hall.

Space is limited to the first 16 teams that register. Team fee is $300 and must be paid before the team is placed on the schedule. The last day to register a team is Feb. 19. Individual fees are $20 for Destin residents and $40 for non-residents and must be paid before a player is eligible to play. All players must be 17 to participate.

Wood Bat Softball League

A mandatory team captains’ meeting is set for 7 p.m., Jan. 26 at Destin City Hall for the Wood Bat Softball League.

Games will begin March 3. Space is limited to the first 16 teams that register. Team fee is $300 and must be paid before a team is placed on the schedule. Last day to register is Feb. 26. Individual fees are $20 for Destin residents and $40 for nonresidents and must be paid before they can play.

Coed Softball League

Play will begin Feb. 24 for the city of Destin’s Coed Softball League at Morgan Sports Center.

A mandatory team captains’ meeting will be held at 6 p.m., Jan. 27 at city hall.

Space is limited to the first 15 teams that register. Team fee is $275 and the last day to register a team is Feb. 19. Individual fees are $20 for Destin residents and $40 for non-residents and must be paid before they are eligible to play. Players must be 17 to participate.

Adult Flag Football

The city of Destin’s Flag Football league will begin March 23 at Morgan Sports Center.

A mandatory captains’ meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at Morgan Sports Center.

Team fees are $300 and must be paid before a team will be placed on the schedule. The last day to register a team is March 18. Individual fees are $20 for residents and $40 for nonresidents and must be paid before they can play. Must be 17 to play.
