VETSports edges out Fenders in coed

Cody Maddox connected for four hits to set the pace for VETSports in a 17-11 win over Fenders in the Coed Softball League Division I play at Morgan Sports Center.

Maddox tripled and hit three singles for three RBIs.

The first few of innings of play was close with VETSports holding a 9-7 lead at the end of three innings. VETSports scored three in the fourth, three in the fifth and two in the sixth for the win.

Joey Baines hit three doubles for an RBI for VETSports and Katie Miller hit two singles. Kevin Wecher and Chad Ashton each hit home runs.

Davey Bazylak smacked a home run, a triple and a single for four RBIs for Fenders. Megan Hankins doubled and singled for two RBIs, and Chris Edmondson clobbered a home run.

TayGray led 5-2 at the end of three and exploded in the fifth for seven runs to pull away for the win.

Marc Bergerstock hit two doubles and two singles for two RBIs for TayGray. Joshua Snyder homered, doubled and singled for an RBI, and Tiffany Werner hit two singles.

Brian Corlew knocked an inside-the-park home run and a single for an RBI for Chiropractic. John Corlew hit two singles for an RBI, and Susie Pierce singled.

30A Company 20, Navigators 2

30A dominated from the start, stepping out to a 16-0 lead in the first three innings.

Andy Poveda was tops for 30A with two doubles and a single. Brittany Foerster hit three singles for two RBIs, and Carlos Poveda hit three singles for an RBI.

Richard Ritnour hit two singles for Navigators, and Ryan Marcell and Ricky Sayles each had one single.

Advanced AC 19, Blind Shots 7

Advanced AC put up nine runs in the first two innings and never looked back to take the win.

Tiny Lee slapped a home run over the centerfield fence, plus singled for three RBIs for Advance AC. Cindy Leurendi hit two singles, and Dan Candcias homered and doubled for an RBI. Brandon Patzig belted two home runs.

Michael Haynes led Blind Shots with two shots out of the park and a single for four RBIs. Jen Phillips tripled and singled for an RBI, and Kurt Haynes doubled and singled for an RBI.

Emerald Coast Alarms 36, HOA’s 23

Emerald Coast scored the 10-run limit two of their four times at bat for the win.

Brandon Crumbley led Emerald Coast with three home runs for seven RBIs. Brandon Blyden homered and hit two triples for four RBIs and Michelle Williams connected for two triples.

Lauren Woods was the big stick for HOA with a homer, triple, double and a single for eight RBIs. Ann Boyton doubled and hit two singles for four RBIs, and Ken Wampler tripled, doubled and singled for three RBIs.
