Destin Marlins tennis team whips Davidson Panthers

For the second time this week, the Destin Marlins tennis team cleaned up on the courts with both the girls’ and boys’ teams winning 7-0 over the visiting Davidson Panthers of Crestview on Wednesday.
The top three seeds for the Destin girls, Lily Stiles, Madison Pridgen and Madison Baker, each posted 6-0 victories over the Panthers.
Destin’s No. 4 Ainsley Barousee and No. 5 Madison Clark each won 6-1.
In girls’ doubles, Baker and Sydney Eubanks teamed up for a 6-1 win for the Marlins, while Claire Roberston and Stiles won their match 6-0.
As for the Destin boys, No. 1 seed Body Miller won 6-0 as did No. 3 Ethan Eubanks and No. 5 Ty Suchevits. Hawke Yohe, in the No. 2 spot, won 6-5, and No. 4 Eason Ingram finished up 6-3.
In doubles, Hudson Akers and Matthew Wilson paired up for a 6-0 win, while Eubanks and Ingram won their match 6-2.
Up next for the undefeated Destin Marlins is a 4 p.m. game Monday at Bluewater Bay against the Ruckel Rams.
