Ruckel Rams shutout Destin on the courts

It was total domination by the Ruckel Rams as they blasted the Destin Marlins 7-0 in middle school tennis action Monday afternoon at Bluewater Bay.

“I think we were very intimidated,” said Destin Coach Ronda Pridgen. “It was our first tough competition, but I think we learned a lot. Hopefully, it will make them stronger for county.”

Destin’s Lily Stiles and Sophie Cohen both lost 6-1, while Madison Pridgen lost 6-0, and Madison Clark got beat 6-2.

Ainsley Barousee came close for Destin, but lost 6-5.

Destin’s Beck Holahan lost 6-2, while the rest of the boys team, Brody Miller, Ethan Eubanks, Eason Ingram and Ty Suchevits, lost 6-0.

Up next for the Marlins is a 4 p.m. match Thursday at home at Sandpiper Cove against Liza Jackson.
