Fenders knock off 30A Company

Todd Schrag connected for four hits to lead Fenders in a 22-21 win over 30A Company in the Coed Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Schrag had four singles for an RBI.

Fenders jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first two innings. 30A Company evened the score in the top of the third and then pulled away in the fourth with eight runs. Fenders finished strong, scoring 13 runs in the last three innings.

Courtney Stevens belted a home run for Fenders, and Chris Edmondson homered and doubled for four RBIs.

Top batters for 30A were Scott McLeod with two home runs, a double and a single for two RBIs. Chris Poveda doubled and hit two singles for an RBI, Andy Poveda tripled and hit two singles for an RBI, and Josh Ring smacked a home run.

Advanced A/C and Heating 21, VETSports 12

Advanced A/C led 11-5 at the end of two innings and managed to put it away in six.

Aubrey Claxton hit four singles for three RBIs for Advanced A/C. Tiny Lee hit four singles for two RBIs, and Guido Carr hit two doubles and a single.

Cody Maddox tripled, doubled and singled for VETSports. Corey Melton doubled and singled for two RBIs, and Taylor Byers doubled and singled for ran RBI.

TayGray Photography 26, Almighty Installations 22

TayGray started strong, taking a 16-5 lead in the first three innings. Almighty threatened in the fifth with 10 runs, but TayGray held on for the win.

Austin Jessup knocked in 10 RBIs for TayGray on three home runs and a double. Tiffany Werner doubled and hit two singles, and Josh Snyder tripled, doubled and singled for an RBI.

Don Buck was tops for Almighty with two triples and two singles for three RBIs. Ortie Messenger hit three singles for three RBIs, and Jobina Johnson tripled and singled for an RBI.

HOA’s 29, Navigators 28

When time ran out in the sixth inning, the game was deadlocked at 19-19. It took 10 innings, four of one-pitch ball, for HOA’s to prevail as the winners.

Top batters for HOA’s were Mac McFarland with a double and three singles for two RBIs, Ken Wampler with a triple, double and two singles for two RBIs, Lauren Woods with two home runs and a single for two RBIs, and Jarrett Wampler with a double and two singles for an RBI.
