Doc's Softball blows by Scared Hitless

Joseph Pike knocked in five runs to lead Doc’s Softball in a 20-15 win over Scared Hitless in the Men’s Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Pike belted a homer, double and two singles for five RBIs.

In the first two innings, Doc’s jumped out to a 6-2 lead. In the top of the third, Hitless evened the score with four runs and then took a 9-7 lead in the fourth. In the fifth, Doc’s scored five and then exploded for eight in the sixth for the win.

Eddie Rivera hit three singles for Doc’s, while Adam Conant doubled and hit two singles for three RBIs. Chase McInnis blasted three home runs and Joseph Hall one.

Justin Demas led Scared Hitless with a home run and three singles for three RBIs. Jordan Shepardson hit a triple and two singles for three RBIs, and Dale Smith doubled and hit three singles. John Gillette connected for a home run.

X-treme 32, Heritage Tree Service 20

X-treme started strong by scoring 13 runs in the top of the first inning. They had another big inning in the third with nine runs and managed to put the game away in five.

Big hitters for X-treme were Josh Hunter with four home runs and a single for five RBIs, Drew Pinckerly with three home runs and a double for seven RBIs and Brian Martinez with a home run.

Chris Turplee was tops for Heritage with three home runs and a single for three RBIs. Kurt Haynes smacked a home run and a double for two RBIs, and Brandon Hewlett hit a single and a homer for five RBIs.
