Driftwood Estates blasts HOA's

Ken Johnson knocked in six runs to lead Driftwood Estates in a 31-16 win over HOA’s in the Coed Softball League at Morgan’s Sports Center in Destin.

Johnson belted a homer, a triple and two singles for six RBIs.

In the first two innings, Driftwood jumped out to an 11-2 lead and then kind of coasted picking up a run here and there until the seventh. In the top of the seventh inning, Driftwood finished strong with 13 runs.

Nicole Brenay doubled and singled for two RBIs for Driftwood, and Steve Cline had three hits for two RBIs.

Ann Boyton hit two doubles and two singles for an RBI for HOA’s. Robert McFarland tripled, doubled and hit two singles for two RBIs, Jarrett Wampler hit a homer, a double and two singles for an RBI, and Ken Wampler ripped a triple and three singles for two RBIs.

LuLu’s 12, Navigators 10

Down 5-2, LuLu’s rallied in the fourth with six runs to take the lead and eventually the win.

Jimmy Fell led LuLu’s with a double and two singles for three RBIs. Matt O’Hail doubled and singled for two RBIs, and John Morter singled.

Andrew Albright connected for three singles for Navigators. April Marcel hit a double and a single for two RBIs, and Jonathan Shelton hit two singles for an RBI.

Advanced A/C and Heating 17, Blind Shots 15

At the end of three innings, Advanced was on top 9-6. At the end of regulation, the game was tied at 14-14. Advanced brought in three runs in the top of the eighth and then held Blind Shots to one in the bottom for the win.

Mario Devito knocked in seven runs for Advanced on three home runs and a double. Tiny Lee hit two singles and Jordan Brewer clobbered a home run, a triple and two singles for three RBIs.

Michael Haynes was the big stick for Blind Shots with two home runs, two doubles and a single for three RBIs. Jacque Chapman tripled and hit two singles for an RBI, and Kurt Haynes doubled and hit two singles for two RBIs.

Almighty Installations 10, VETSports 1

Almighty dominated from beginning to end, holding VETSports to only one run while posting 10 for themselves.

Marti Littlefield doubled and hit two singles for an RBI for Almighty. Ortie Messenger and David Hodges each hit two singles. Chris Poole smacked a home run.

Taylor Byers hit two singles for VETSports. Jaylyn Smith and Corey LeBlanc each singled.
