Doc's Softball cuts down Heritage Tree Service for title

Doc’s Softball claimed the championship title in the Men’s Division I softball league in Destin.

Chase McInnis knocked in four runs to lead Doc’s Softball in a 17-12 win over Heritage Tree Service in the championship game of the Men’s Softball Division I tournament at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

McInnis blasted a home run and a single for four RBIs.

At the end of two innings, the game was tied at 3-3. In the top of the third, Doc’s pulled away with eight runs and then held on for the win.

Justin Chaknis homered and hit a double for two RBIs for Doc’s. Eddie Rivera homered and tripled for an RBI.

Tops for Heritage was James Williams with a home run and a single for an RBI. Jamie DeBenedetto doubled for three RBIs, and Aaron Ridenour tripled for two RBIs.
