Destin's Harrison Orr breaks across the line for a score on a punt return.

The Destin Dolphin Juniors posted another shutout on the gridiron this past weekend with a 14-0 victory over the Niceville 1 Eagles in the Panhandle Youth Football Association action at Helen McCall Park in Santa Rosa Beach.

“We were tested in all areas today on the field and off the field,” said Destin Coach Chad Price.

“I couldn’t be happier with the discipline and the team work that these players showed today,” he said.

It was a defensive game for both teams.

The Destin Dolphins managed to get in the red zone several time but with multiple flags they had a hard time getting in the end zone.

“Our defense was playing lights out so we left it in their hands,” Price said.

Harrison Orr scored on a 30-yard punt return, which set up a successful extra point attempt with Deuce Price sprinting to the piling for the score.

Late in the second half, Orr hit pay dirt again. With a leaping interception and a key block from Maddox Hayles, Orr was able to run it back for 72 yards. Charlie Guillory scored the extra-point conversion on an explosive run up the middle.

Other defensive highlights were two sacks from Eric Scott, a fumble recovery by Hayles and multiple back field tackles by Wyatt Wainwright, Hayles, Brick Larabee, Braxton Beard and the “twin turbos” Christian and Brandon Harnish.

Team captains for the day for Destin were Brandon Knox, Brandon Harnish, Dalton Taylor and Zack Clark.

Up next, Destin plays Walton at 1 p.m. this Saturday at Fort Walton Beach.
