Destin Dolphin Juniors shut out Crestview

The Destin Dolphin Juniors, 5-2, shut out the visiting Crestview Black Bulldogs 26-0 in the Panhandle Youth Football Association action Saturday afternoon in Destin.

The Dolphin offense started out strong with some big runs and multiple passes.

Harrison Orr scored on a big run to the outside followed by the extra point by Maddox Hayles.

Hayles powered his way through the defense for the second Destin touchdown and extra point attempt.

Chadrick Price and Baylen Knox both scored touchdowns for the Dolphins with two big receptions.

“The entire Dolphin defense played hard with team tackles and forced fumbles,” said Destin Coach Chad Price.

Braxton Beard, Mason Wetzel and Hayles each had big fourth-down stops.

Brick Larabee had a fumble recovery on special teams to help secure the Dolphins shut out.

Team captains for the Destin team were Braxton Beard, Landon Ullrich, Gunner Smith and Austin McDowell.

Up next, Destin travels to DeFuniak Springs for a 3 p.m. game on Saturday against the South Walton Seahawks.
