Heritage Tree Services edge out Harbor Docks

Michael Haynes knocked in six runs to lead Heritage Tree Services in an 18-17 win over Harbor Docks in the Men’s Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Haynes clobbered two homers, a double and a single for six RBIs.

At the end of three innings, Harbor Docks led 7-4. Heritage closed the gap in the top of the fourth with two runs and then edged ahead in the fifth with six runs.

Frank Kaeser hit four singles for two RBIs for Heritage, while Justin Nunnely hit two doubles and a single for two RBIs.

Ernest Firth hit three singles for two RBIs for Harbor Docks. Luke Smith and Matt Morrison each hit three singles for an RBI, while Phillip Vhalos slapped a home run.

Busch Leaguers 21, World Famous Crab Island 17

Busch Leaguers jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the first two innings. Busch picked up five runs in both the third and fourth innings to pull off the win.

Ranson Early was tops for Busch with a home run and three singles for two RBIs. Jake Smalls doubled and hit three singles for three RBIs, and Tate DeShong tripled and hit three singles for an RBI.

Shayne Bryant doubled and hit two singles for an RBI for Crab Island. Jarrod Dunn homered and singled for two RBIs, and Reubon Holt hit two triples for two RBIs.

Harbor Docks 22, World Famous Crab Island 8

Harbor Docks led 15-0 after three innings, and managed to put the game away in six innings.

David Nelson hit three doubles and a single for two RBIs for Harbor Docks. Luke Smith doubled and hit three singles for three RBIs, and Brandon Patzig doubled and hit three singles for two RBIs.

Frank Owens doubled and singled for two RBIs for Crab Island. Shayne Bryant and Rich Owens each hit two singles.

Doc’s Softball Club 30, Busch Leaguers 26

At the end of three innings, Doc’s was up 11-8. In the top of the fourth, Doc’s added six runs but Busch exploded in the bottom half with 11 runs to go up 19-17.

Doc’s got the advantage back with eight in the top of the fifth and then added five more in the sixth for the win.

Torrence Washington cracked a home run, triple and two singles for three RBIs for Doc’s. Justin Chaknis hit two doubles and two singles for an RBI, and Steve Rivera homered and hit two singles for five RBIs. Chase McInnis, Vinnie Carnazza and Jeremy Vaiynet each belted home runs.

Ranson Early had the big stick for Busch with two homers and two singles for four RBIs. Kyle Kennedy homered, tripled, doubled and singled for two RBIs, and Robert Rice hit two doubles and two singles. Tate DeShong and Jake Small each clobbered home runs.
