Doc’s chops down Heritage Tree Service

Joseph Pike pounded out seven hits to lead Doc’s Softball Club in a 46-20 win in the Men’s Division 1 Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Pike ripped two doubles and five singles for four RBIs.

Doc’s didn’t waste time taking charge of the game, scoring 21 runs in the top of the first inning and then had another big inning in the fourth with 15 runs. The game was over in five innings.

Chris Troutman hit two doubles and four singles for two RBIs for Doc’s. Eddie Rivera connected for six singles for one RBI. Shawn Aitkens hit two home runs, while Torrance Washington, Justin Chaknis and Vinny Carnazza each hit one.

Home run hitters for Heritage were Jason Little, Michael Haynes, Nolan Lang, Kurt Haynes and Brandon Daughtery.

X-Treme H20 22, Busch Leaguers 18

Busch Leaguers took an early 10-3 lead in the first two innings. However, X-Treme exploded in the third with 14 runs to go ahead.

Jeremy Viayanet smacked a home run, a double and two singles for an RBI for X-Treme. Marc Bergerstock hit two triples and two doubles for an RBI, and Brian Martinez homered and hit three singles for an RBI. Jamie Steiner also belted a home run.

Robert Price clobbered a home run and three singles for Busch. Kyle Ely homered and hit two doubles for an RBI and Tate DeShong connected for a triple and two singles for an RBI.

Busch Leaguers 30, Doc’s Softball Club 27

At the end of two innings, the game was deadlocked at 13-13.

In the third, Busch edged ahead 19-18 and pulled away 24-18 in the fourth. In the sixth, Doc’s narrowed it to a three-run game, but that was as close as they would get.

Tyler Hintzelman knocked in eight runs for Busch on a home run, triple, two doubles and a single. Kyle Kennedy homered, tripled and hit three singles for five RBIs, and Jake Small smacked two home runs, a double and two singles for five RBIs. Kyle Ely also hit a home run.

Eddie Rivera led Doc’s with a double and four singles for four RBIs. Shawn Aitkens tripled and hit two singles for three RBIs, and Keith Higgins connected for two doubles and a single for three RBIs. Torrance Washington slapped three home runs, and Chris Troutman, one.
