Sunsouth Builders nails down win

Down by 10 runs, Sunsouth Builders finished strong for a 20-18 win over Harbor Docks in the Men’s Division II Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

In the fifth, Sunsouth picked up three runs, and then exploded in the sixth with 10. They pulled off the win with four in the bottom of the seventh.

Chad Betts was the big stick for Sunsouth with two doubles and two singles for three RBIs. Frank Lozano hit three singles for an RBI, and Joe Kerns tripled, doubled and singled for an RBI.

Brandon Patzig clobbered four homers for Harbor Docks for four RBIs. Ernest Firth hit two doubles and two singles for an RBI, and Brodie DeBogory homered and hit three singles for two RBIs.

World Famous Crab Island 22, Harbor Docks 11

Harbor Docks took an early 6-3 lead in the first four innings. In the top of the fifth, Crab Island grabbed the lead with six runs and the blasted Harbor Docks in the seventh with 11 runs.

Rick Owens hit four triples, three doubles and two singles for four RBIs for Crab Island. Shayne Bryant hit two triples, two doubles and a single for three RBIs, and Quinn Crozier tripled, doubled and hit two singles for four RBIs.

Brandon Patzig ripped two triples, a double and two singles for three RBIs to lead Harbor Docks. Luke Smith hit two triples and two doubles for two RBIs.

30 Aces 18, World Famous Crab Island 6

30 Aces put the game away in five innings after driving in 14 runs in the second inning.

Geoff Tullis was the big hitter for 30 Aces with three triples, two doubles and a single for four RBIs.

Ruben Holt tripled for an RBI for Crab Island, and Shayne Bryant doubled for an RBI.
