Merica whips 30A Company

Hannah Aspordites connected for four singles to lead Merica in a 26-16 win over 30A Company in the Coed Division II Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

The first inning was close with Merica holding a 6-5 lead. In the second, Merica began to pull away putting up seven runs to 30A’s four. In the third, Merica put up eight runs while holding 30A scoreless for an 18-9 advantage. 30A scored one in the top of the fourth and Merica answered with eight in the bottom half to put the game away.

Brandon Blyden slapped a home run and a single for an RBI for Merica. Andrew Fish hit three singles and Matt Reich hit a home run for an RBI.

Nate Webster led 30A with a triple and two singles. Allison Arreguin hit two doubles and Amanda Boone connected for two singles.

Emerald Coast Chiropractic 22, Emerald Coast Alarms 15

Down 12-4, Chiropractic rallied to score five in the third and six in the fourth to take the lead. They finished up with six runs in the sixth.

Don Edwards was tops for Chiropractic with four singles for an RBI. Kathy Whidden hit two singles and Todd Preston a double. Clint Clemmons slapped a home run.

Gregg Griffith hit two doubles and a single for four RBIs for Alarms. Mendy Melver and Brandon Blyden each hit three singles for two RBIs.
