Youth basketball putting up strong results

The Destin Youth Basketball League is in full swing at the Destin Community Center. Here are some of the results from the second week of action in the various age groups.

Ages 7/8

North West Florida Fair 24, Century 21 Blue Marlin 10

North West led 12-2 at the half. Top scorer for North West was Cannon Wilbur with eight points. Griffin Cann scored six and Brody Harrell hit for four points. Scoring two each were Caden Job, Tristan Cooper and Cooper Wood.

Brock Dugan led Century with six points. Holden Hughes and Dylan Malinowitzer each scored two.

Wood & Associates P.A. 13, Destin Firefighters 8

Wood led 4-2 at the half. Carter Dallman led the Wood attack with seven points. Isaac Holbrook scored the other six points.

Ebner Ingram tossed in six points for the Firefighters while Brooks Chouinard Jr. chipped in two.

Fudpucker’s 23, Happyfeet.net 4

Fudpucker’s dominated throughout. Javarious Snipes led Fud’s with eight points. Sara Oakes scored five, while Maddox Mason and Owen Atkins each scored four. Ethan Holstein contributed two.

Cameron Kerns scored all four points for Happyfeet.net.

Salvati’s Pizza 11, Frankfurt 1031 Exchange 7

Scoring four points each for Salvati’s was Brayden Waters and Mason George. Carter Phillips scored two points and Jayce Roberson, one.

Parker Yates, Sean Simon and Dane Warren each tossed in two points for Frankfurt. Charlie Frankfurt chipped in one point.

Ages 9/10

Fudpucker’s 21, Golf Garden 17

Fudpucker’s jumped out to a 16-9 lead in the first half. Scoring six points each for Fud’s were Noah Mason and Noah Laskaskie. Gavin Garrity scored five and Garrett Jacobs chipped in four.

Jordan Figueroa was tops for Golf Garden with 10 points. Will Blanchard scored five and Eisley Ingram, two points.

Goodyear Wingfoots 19, Donut Hole 15 (OT)

At the half, the game was tied at 8-8 and then 15-15 at the end of regulation. Goodyear put up four points in overtime for the win. Baylen Knox led Goodyear with six points. Kelwin Tsao and Elaina Perkins each scored four, James Boykin three and Reeve Dwyer two.

Wyatt Wainwright fired up the nets for 10 points for Donut Hole. Braxton Beard and Zachary Clark each scored two and Maddox Hayles one.

Seaside Spine 28, Coastal Cruisers 26

Seaside led 18-10 at the half. Bryce Dugan scored 10 points for Seaside and Ayden Zepp hit four eight. Hunter Barber scored six, while Garrett Fulmer and Shaylah Williams each scored two.

Brick Larabee was high-point player for Coastal with 17 points. Greyson Sommerville scored eight and Braxton Faith chipped in one.

Ages 11/13

Harbor Capital 27, Bubba Gump 22

Shawn DuFault led Harbor with 11 points. Griffin Moore scored five and Spencer MacKenzie hit for four. Jack Tenholder scored three, while Blake Rigdon and Aidan Beyhl each tossed in two.

Zeke Oswald was tops for Bubba with 13 points. Kruz Watson scored nine.

Gameday Pizza 30, Blanken Management 28

Gameday led 21-13 at the half. Michael Coppola was tops for Gameday with 14 points. Eason Ingram and Jandel Gadea each scored six points, while Nathan Stepp and Noah Day each chipped in two.

Joel Chatman scored nine points for Blanken. Jaxson Steffen and Pierce Forrester each scored five. Luis Jose Figueroa scored three, and J. Cole Riche, Jasmin Ammons and Damian Alexander each contributed two.

Trustmark Bank 38, Executive Air 35

Scoring in double-digits for Trustmark were Aiden Garrity with 14 and Parker Seagle, 12. Kirch Bright scored five, Emilo Taylor four, John Balfers two and Adams White one.

Carston Phillips was high scorer for Executive Air with 11 points. Trey Rahilly scored seven and Logan Cann five. Ian Mollihan and Chris Garland each scored four, and Carrington Phillips and Diago Perez each tossed in two.
