Merica prevails over La Paz

Justin Lund knocked in seven runs to lead Merica in a 21-20 win over La Paz in the Coed Division I Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.
Lund belted two triples, two doubles and a single for seven RBIs.
Merica jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first, but then found themselves trailing 15-11 at the end of four innings.
In the top of the fifth, La Paz scored one and Merica answered with six to go up 17-16. In the bottom of the sixth, Merica picked up two more runs for a three-run lead. In the top of the seventh, La Paz brought in four runs to up it to 20-19. Merica pulled off the win with two runs in the bottom.
Hannah Aspordites hit three singles for an RBI for Merica. Steven Kertz smacked a home run, a double and two singles for an RBI.
Top batter for La Paz was Eric Morris with a home run, double and two singles for four RBIs. Lynda Tanner hit two singles and Frank Kaesser tripled, doubled and singled for two RBIs.
Free Agents 32, Clemenza’s at Uptown 22
Free Agents jumped out to a 17-12 lead in the first two innings, then had another big inning in the fifth scoring the 10-run limit for a 28-19 advantage.
Mario Devito hammered out two homers, a triple and a double for five RBIs for Free Agents. Brandon Patzig hit two home runs and two doubles for five RBIs, and Aubrey Claxton doubled and hit two singles. Jordan Brewer and Travis Carroll also belted home runs.
Jobina Johnson connected for a triple and three singles for an RBI for Clemenza’s, John Viayanet hit two doubles and two singles for three RBIs and Joseph Feltner hit two doubles and two singles for two RBIs. Chris Moore cranked out a grand slam.

Down 8-6 after two innings, TayGray exploded in the bottom of the third with the 10-run limit to take the lead.
Marc Bergerstock clobbered two home runs, a double and two singles for four RBIs for TayGray. Josh Snyder hit two home runs, a double and a single for five RBIs, and Mike Haynes connected for two triples, a double and a single for three RBIs. Chad Ashton also knocked a home run.
Dave Bazylak hit in five runs on a homer, two doubles and two singles for Island Wings. Chelsea Womack hit three singles for two RBIs, and Frank Lozano hit two doubles and a single for two RBIs.
30A 33, Emerald Coast Chiropractic 21
By the end of three innings, 30A led 25-16. 30A put the game away in five.
David Beard led 30A with three doubles and a single for four RBIs. Josh Ring doubled and hit three singles for three RBIs, and Amanda Hurley hit three singles for three RBIs.
Teresa Imdieke doubled and hit three singles for two RBIs for Chiropractic. Don Edwards hit a homer and two doubles for four RBIs, and Todd Preston belted a homer, double and a single for four RBIs.
