Not one or even two, but five home run shots by the Destin Marlins put them over the top for a 14-12 victory over the visiting Pryor Pirates of Fort Walton Beach Wednesday afternoon in middle school baseball action.

Down by five runs, Destin eighth grader Jackson Crews, who had two homers on the day, belted the last of the blasts for a walk-off shot and the win.

Other Marlins with homers were Preston Murphy, Aiden Garrity and Benton Henderson. Henderson had two homers in Monday’s 10-run victory over Bruner.

Garrity went the distance on the mound and got the win for Destin.

Up next for Destin is a 4:30 p.m. game Monday at home against the Meigs Wildcats.
