Liquid Fix pours it on for win

Jamie Steiner connected for five hits to lead Liquid Fix in a 30-25 win over World Famous Crab Island in the Men’s Recreational Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Steiner belted a home run and four singles for an RBI.

Each team scored two runs in the first inning. In the top of the third, Liquid Fix poured it on with 14 runs. Crab Island answered with 10 in the bottom half. In the next two innings, Liquid Fix scored 13 runs to pull away.

Austin Jessup hit the cycle for Liquid Fix with a homer, triple, double and a single for one RBI. Justin Ray pounded out a home run, a double and two singles for two RBIs. Josh Snyder also blasted two home runs.

Joseph Pike slapped a home run, a double and a three singles for six RBIs for Crab Island. Quinn Goyer hit two triples, a double and a single, while Steve Rivera doubled and hit three singles for three RBIs.

World Famous Crab Island 19, The Craft Bar 12

At the end of two innings, Crab Island led 9-6. Craft Bar took its only lead of the game in the third with five runs for an 11-10 advantage. Crab Island got the lead back with four runs in the top of the fifth and then added two more in the sixth and three in the seventh for the win.

Joseph Pike hammered out two homers and two singles for two RBIs for Crab Island. Steve Rivera tripled, doubled and hit two singles for two RBIs, and Shayne Bryant connected for three doubles for two RBIs.

Matt Clayter led Craft Bar with a home run and two singles for two RBIs. Jeremy Bullock doubled and hit two singles for four RBIs and Chad Betts doubled and hit two singles for three RBIs.
