Destin Locksmithing wins in extra innings

Brandon Blyden connected for four hits to lead Destin Locksmithing in a 22-17 extra-inning win over SoWal in the Coed Division III Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Blyden ripped a double and three singles for five RBIs.

At the end of four innings, SoWal was on top 14-11. In the top of the sixth, Locksmithing scored five for a 16-14 advantage, however, by the end of seven the game was knotted at 17-17. In the top of the eighth, Locksmithing scored five and then held SoWal scoreless for the win.

Kilee Brown doubled and singled for three RBIs for Locksmithing and Beth Blyden hit two singles for two RBIs.

Kyle Boyer was tops for SoWal with a triple, double and two singles for four RBIs. Cody Knowles hit two doubles and a single for an RBI, and Lyndsey Carroll hit three singles for an RBI.

Island Wings 24, Chosen Heating 11

Island Wings dominated taking a 14-0 lead in the first three innings and then finished off with the 10-run limit in the top of the seventh.

Karen Scott knocked in four runs on three singles for Island Wings. Todd Schrag blasted a homer and two singles for two RBIs, and Frank Lozano with a double and a single for two RBIs.

Holly Black hit two singles for two RBIs for Chosen, while Lee Major hit two singles for an RBI. Blaine Watkins singled.


Landsharks Pizza 28, HOA’s 22

The first three innings were close with Landsharks holding a 14-13 lead. In the top of the fourth, Landsharks pulled away with the 10-run limit.

Matt Molina led Landsharks with two doubles and three singles. Kelly Fox doubled and hit three singles, and Wes Norton hit two doubles.

Katy Weathers doubled and hit two singles for HOA’s. Deb Porter hit two double and Eddie Gray hit three singles.

Misfits 22, Navigators 7

At the end of two innings, Misfits led 12-3 and 19-4 by the end of three.

Casey Leinor led Misfits with a triple and two doubles. Sam Senor hit two doubles and a single, while Brandon Brookshaw hit three singles.

Bart Hardy tripled and Ryan Marcel doubled for Navigators.
